Paf Open is a world class sport event. In the third week of August the Swatch FIVB World Tour and the very best beachvolleyball players in the world come to Mariehamn, Åland.

Paf Open is a double gender event and during an intensive summer week the players compete for 380 000 US dollars and important ranking points to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

During the Paf Open week there will be games played all day and the festival area will be filled with people enjoying the international atmosphere. As a spectator you can enjoy sport entertainment of world class while hanging out with old and new friends. The festival area offers everything you may possible need for long, nice summer days – great sport experiences, mingling and good food and drinks.

A number of side events will be held during the Paf Open week. On thursday the success ‘Näringslivsdagen’ (Business Day) is once again presented in cooperation with Ålands Handelskammare (Åland Chamber of Commerce). In the evenings Paf Open enters party mode when the official beach parties are held every night thursday to sunday in central Mariehamn.

Paf Open is a unique collaboration between the volleyball federations of Sweden, Finland and Åland and the promoter ATS.
